TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of MQ Fitness, trading as Market Quarter Fitness ("we", "our", "us"). By joining, booking sessions, attending classes, purchasing packages, or visiting our premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. About MQ Fitness
MQ Fitness is a premium fitness club and transformation gym based at Unit 9, Bridestone Shopping Centre, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 3BP.
2. Our Services
MQ Fitness offers a range of training options, including:
- Monthly memberships
- Pay-as-you-go group conditioning and strength sessions
- 1:1 personal training
- Small group personal training
- Training programmes for weight loss, strength, body transformation, sports performance, and beginner fitness
Our gym environment is intended to be friendly, fun, and community-led while maintaining premium training standards. We may update, remove, or change services, class formats, session times, and equipment access for business, safety, or operational reasons.
3. Memberships and Access
MQ Fitness currently offers the following membership options:
- Basic membership
- Premium membership
- Unlimited membership
Current pricing structure:
- Level 1: £150 per month, approximately 9 sessions per month / 2 per week
- Level 2: £200 per month, approximately 13 sessions per month / 3 per week
- Pay As You Go (Conditioning / Group Classes): £12.50 per single session or £100 for a block of 10
- Pay As You Go (Strength / Small Group PT): £20 per single session or £180 for a block of 10
- 1:1 Personal Training: £70 per single session or £650 for a block of 10
- Optional bolt-ons include Unlimited BURN sessions for an additional £40 per month and open gym access
Membership access begins once payment is confirmed and onboarding steps are completed. Benefits are personal and cannot be shared, transferred, or sold unless agreed in writing.
4. No-Contract Membership Terms
MQ Fitness membership is no-contract. You remain responsible for any outstanding fees, late charges, or bookings made before cancellation. Cancellation or membership change requests must follow the process provided at sign-up, with reasonable notice before changes take effect.
5. Payment Terms
All fees must be paid in full and on time, including memberships, class bookings, PT sessions, session blocks, bolt-ons, and other agreed services. Failed or reversed payments may result in suspended access. Repeated missed payments may lead to membership cancellation. Prices may change with notice; continued use indicates acceptance.
6. Booking Classes and Sessions
Classes at MQ Fitness are typically one hour long with a limit of 10 participants. Booking in advance is required where indicated. Entry may be refused if:
- The class is full
- You arrive too late to participate safely
- You have not booked correctly
- Your membership or payment is not active
- Your behaviour creates a risk to others
Bookings are for the specific session reserved and are not transferable to other sessions unless agreed.
7. Personal Training and Coaching
MQ Fitness provides 1:1 and small group personal training to support goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, general fitness, strength training, sports performance, beginner support, and body transformation.
PT sessions are normally one hour. Packages must be used within specified timeframes. Results vary; we do not guarantee specific outcomes.
8. Health, Safety, and Your Responsibility
You must use MQ Fitness safely and follow staff instructions. By using the gym, you confirm:
- You are physically able to take part in exercise
- You will inform us of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations
- You will follow warm-up, lifting, and equipment guidance
- You will stop training if you feel unwell or unsafe
Seek professional advice if you have medical concerns. MQ Fitness may request additional information for safety.
9. Under-18s
Members under 18 may only train according to age policy, supervision rules, and parental consent. Certain sessions or equipment may be restricted. Proof of age may be requested.
10. Use of Equipment and Facilities
Members must use equipment safely and as intended. You must:
- Return weights and equipment after use
- Wipe down equipment where required
- Use clamps, attachments, and safety features correctly
- Report broken or unsafe equipment immediately
- Respect other members’ training space
Misuse may lead to suspension, cancellation, or damage charges.
11. Member Conduct
All members must behave respectfully. Unacceptable behaviour includes:
- Aggressive or abusive language
- Harassment or discrimination
- Deliberate damage to property
- Unsafe lifting or reckless behaviour
- Theft or dishonesty
- Recording others without permission
Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal or membership cancellation.
12. Locker Rooms, Personal Belongings, and Property
You are responsible for personal belongings. MQ Fitness is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items unless required by law. Lost property may be held temporarily.
13. Changes to Classes, Staff, and Facilities
MQ Fitness may adjust class content, training formats, coaches, equipment, or timetables due to attendance, staff availability, maintenance, demand, or business needs.
14. Parking and Arrival
Members should park responsibly and arrive on time. Parking options include Morrisons Car Park (up to 3 hours), Market Quarter Car Park, or nearby Congleton parking. Members must follow parking rules.
15. Nutrition, Results, and Community Support
Nutrition guidance is general support, not medical advice. Member results depend on attendance, effort, recovery, nutrition, and health. Exact outcomes are not guaranteed.
16. Social Media, Photos, and Content
We may photograph or film inside the gym for marketing. Consent will be sought for identifiable images. Members posting on social media should be fair and respectful.
17. Liability
MQ Fitness takes reasonable steps for safety but exercise carries inherent risks. By using facilities, you accept potential for injury or strain. Nothing limits your legal rights that cannot be excluded.
18. Suspension and Termination
Membership may be suspended or terminated if:
- You breach these Terms and Conditions
- You fail to pay
- You behave dangerously or abusively
- You misuse equipment or facilities
- You put staff, members, or visitors at risk
Unpaid balances remain due if membership ends.
19. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The latest version applies from the date published on our website or shared with members. You are responsible for checking updates.
